William “Bob” Bastian Memorial Scholarship

The William “Bob” Bastian Memorial Scholarship is an annual scholarship awarded to applicants who meets the guidelines set forth in the attached scholarship program details and are selected by the Scholarship Committee.

Named after William “Bob” Bastian, Well-Respected Community Leader from Somerset County, who was instrumental in creating Camp Cadet of Somerset County, and Friend of all who knew Him. May Bob’s Legacy and Passion for Camp Cadet live on through this scholarship in His memory.

Current graduating seniors who have graduated from Camp Cadet of Somerset County will be eligible for a $1000 scholarship: one for a boy and one for a girl. If the graduate is planning on a career in law enforcement, an additional $250 will be included for a total of $1250. The scholarship will be awarded through our Community Foundation for the Alleghenies Fund.
